Disclaimers & Requirements
The purchase of alcohol by persons under the age of 21 is prohibited by law. You must be at least 21 years old to purchase wine or spirits. By placing an order through us, you are representing yourself to us as at least 21 years of age and that the person to whom it is being shipped is at least 21 years old. We reserve the right to ask for proof of identity before processing an order.
By placing an order for delivery to you, you authorize us to act on your behalf to engage a common carrier to deliver your order to you. Alcoholic beverages may be sold and delivered only to persons who are at least 21 years old and by placing your order with us, you represent and warrant to us that you are at least 21 years of age and that the person to whom delivery will be made is also at least 21 years of age to accept delivery.
By ordering your agree to indemnify and hold harmless the seller for any resulting consequence or a fraudulent order or any misrepresentation as to the age or legal ability of any intended recipient to receive shipment of alcoholic beverages.
If no one is available at the time of delivery, the package will not be left. Because of this, we suggest you ship to a work address. We cannot ship wine to PO Boxes or APO addresses.
During summer & winter months, spoilage in transit is NOT covered, EVEN if you had elected 2 Day, Overnight shipping or have the wine insured. Shipments are only covered for loss, theft, or breakage during shipping. If you are concerned about heat spoilage during summer or freezing winter months, please consider our free summer & winter storage. We do not guarantee the quality of the wine in the bottles. Wine, especially older wine, is susceptible to age, spoilage, and heat damage. We do our best to describe the condition of the bottles when we inspect them, but do not guarantee the quality of the wine.
Returns & Order Modifications
Returns: All requests for returns or cancellations must be made within 3 days of the invoice date, no exceptions. Because of fees charged to us by credit card companies upon placing your order, we will required a reimbursement for such fees if we have not shipped your order. If we shipped your order we will require a 15% restocking fee to cover our shipping and credit card expenses. Please check your order carefully before paying for your order.
Order Modifications: If you decide to either add or your order or omit part of your order before we shipped please send us a quick email letting us know. We will be more than happy to add or modify your order accordingly.
Conditions of Sale
Every attempt has been made to describe all property as accurately as possible. SelectWine does not warrant or represent, and deny responsibility for, the accuracy of said wine descriptions, encompassing but not limited to vintage, provenance, authenticity, quality and condition as may be stated in our website. The buyer accepts all purchases "as is," notwithstanding any other terms of these Conditions of Sale. Should SelectWine receive any written claims within 21 calendar days of the purchase that any order is with a shortage, alleged or otherwise out of condition we will not be responsible for any part or whole of the order. SelectWine will judge any claim through inspection of the wine or by any other just means. At all times the decision of SelectWine will be final and binding.
All wines are sold in the state of California and the title passes to the buyer in California state. All purchases shipped to a California address will be subjected to the appropriate California sales tax.
When our order form asks users to enter sensitive information (such as credit card numbers), that information is encrypted and is protected with the best encryption software in the industry - SSL (Secure Socket Layers), provided by VeriSign, the premier encryption software company available today. While on a secure page such as our order form, the lock icon on the bottom of Web browsers such as Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft Internet Explorer becomes locked, as opposed to unlocked, or open, when you are just 'surfing'.
The servers that we store personally identifiable information on are kept in a secure hosting environment. Credit card information is purged from our database once orders are processed.
When Will Your Order Ship
All items in your cart are in stock and ready to ship.
Orders received on Monday or Tuesday by 5 p.m. (Eastern Time), 2 p.m. (Pacific Time) can be shipped out the same day, weather permitting.
To minimize transit time we normally ship
Ground and Standard Shipments Monday and Tuesday
Please review the outbound view map below for transit days. Please note due to occasional circumstances, weather conditions, weekends, holidays, etc. your order may take from 5 to 10 days to process and ship. Actual delivery times are then determined by the shipping company once the box leaves our warehouse. Please allow for extra time as needed to receive your wine.
Please consider using a commercial address to ship to as an Adult Signature is required to release the wine.
Free summer storage available. We will store your order at no cost during the summer months so your wine is not damaged by excessive heat during shipment

United States Shipping
We ship according to California alcohol laws. Orders on our Web site will only be accepted when shipping to select states in the United States.
Please note that we cannot ship to TX, NH, ND, UT, ID, MS, MT, AL, IL, PA and MA.
