An extremely inky wine that blows out of the gates with aromatics reminiscent of black olive, freshly ground coffee, cocoa and mouthwatering boysenberry/blackberry pie. The flavors of that coat the mid palate are dense and packed – you’re staring down a pool of gooey plum, graphite, boysenberries and mocha with a hint of salinity and minerality that pops up to grab your attention. Brilliant long finish that hauntingly repeats the lovely fruit weight and textures. Slightly chewy and definitely a palate-pleaser.
In March 2006 after years of working in the industry for others, Sarah and Sparky Marquis, decided to start their own brand, Mollydooker. The term itself being Aussie slang for a “left hander’, was a befitting name for their company as they were both Mollydookers. In June 2006, Robert Parker reviewed their very first vintage for Mollydooker. He rated The Boxer as the ‘Best Value Red Wine in the World’, Two Left Feet as the second, and Maitre D’ as the fourth. Their Violinist was also chosen as "The best White Wine Value" in the world!
