A charming right bank wine with attractive red fruit aromas and flavours. The wine shows complexity and is drinking well now. Intense nose with scents of black fruits (blackcurrant, blackberries). Fresh mouth is fleshy in attack, round and ample. Dense and supple tannins ensure a long and persistent finish. BLEND: 80% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc. Under-$20 bordeaux that acts twice its price.
Located in a satellite region of St.-Emilion, this property was purchased in 1970 by Collette and Gilles Dignac who promptly set it on its course to being the lovely, proper and tantalizing value bordeaux it is today. Son Philippe took over in 1987, and today - with the assistance of his son, Stéphan - they continue to improve quality and accessibility to the wines of Montagne St.-Emilion.
