Argentina

Argentina is in the southern part of South America, with one of the greatest ecosystem varieties in the world. With great diversity in its climate, including subtropical and even polar, Argentina is generally considered to be mostly temperate. Wine is the Latin America country's national liquor, with Malbec, Torrontés, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, and Chardonnay some of the most popular varietals. Argentina is the world's fifth largest wine producer and the largest wine exporter in South America.

Argentina's largest wine regions are located in the western part of the country among the foothills of the Andes Mountains. There is an intricate irrigation system of dams, canals, and channels that brings water from the Andes' melted snow caps down to the wine regions in the dry, arid climates.

Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Malbec, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Syrah, Tempranillo are among the most grown grapes in Argentina.
